A Roaring Success: Teach Rex Thrills at the Natural History Museum

This summer, Teach Rex brought their exhilarating T-Rex Show to life at the iconic Natural History Museum, and what a success it was! Across 45 action-packed shows, we welcomed an impressive 5,090 visitors, averaging over 113 audience members per performance. This triple-figure turnout for each show speaks volumes about the growing excitement and interest in our unique brand of interactive education.

From the moment families stepped into the theatre, they were greeted with a fun, engaging, and educational experience. We worked hard to create a balance between entertainment and learning, ensuring that kids of all ages (and even adults) could immerse themselves in the world of dinosaurs.

One of the highlights of our post-show feedback came in the form of survey results from 182 respondents:

91.8% of attendees agreed or strongly agreed that they enjoyed themselves overall.0%
96.1% of attendees agreed or strongly agreed that our staff were friendly and helpful.0%

These high satisfaction rates are a testament to our team’s dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for every family that attended. It’s not just about putting on a show; it’s about making sure every guest feels involved, entertained, and inspired by what they’ve learned.

Teach Rex will be returning to the Natural History Museum end of October 2024!

What Families Had to Say

We received an outpouring of positive comments from attendees, which perfectly captured the energy and spirit of the Teach Rex experience:

“The interaction of the show was great. It really involved the audience and made you feel a part of it all. It was also really informative, and the kids learned lots!”

This level of engagement is something we strive for in every performance. Our goal is to make the science of dinosaurs come alive, not just for the kids but for their entire family.

“It’s the perfect balance between being educational and fun – perfect for all ages.”

That blend of education and entertainment is at the heart of what we do. The feedback we received from parents reinforces the value of our approach and reminds us why we love doing what we do.

A particularly heart-warming moment came when one parent shared:

“My daughter being on stage with Jam and hiding the chicken, she’s normally shy, but you guys made an effort to talk to her before the show started, and she relaxed.”

Moments like these are what make the Teach Rex experience so special. Our team is always keen to create personal connections with the audience, ensuring that even the shyest children feel comfortable and confident enough to get involved.

Another parent noted:

“The dinosaurs were very cool, but the men doing the show were AMAZING! They made sure to include as many children as possible, they got down to a child’s level to speak to them and helped quite a few nervous children be brave and pet the dinosaurs. I was so impressed with those guys.”

This feedback is a true reflection of the Teach Rex philosophy—our performers make it a priority to engage with children on their level, taking the time to ensure that every child feels included.

“Very good job of getting everyone involved (and they made a special effort with our son because they knew it was his birthday).”

Our performers understand the importance of those little moments. Every guest is important, and our team works hard to make sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face.

Looking Forward

With such an overwhelmingly positive response, Teach Rex is already looking ahead to future partnerships with museums and science centres across the country. Our success at the Natural History Museum proves that families are eager for engaging, educational experiences that allow them to learn while having fun together.

As we continue to grow and develop our shows, we can’t wait to bring the magic of dinosaurs to more venues and new audiences. Keep an eye out for where Teach Rex will be roaring next – we’re just getting started!
