We have been partnering with Teacher’s Pet for some time now. During the lockdown, we were unable to visit schools to perform our workshops in person, but we still wanted to be able to support schools and children alike with a range of educational resources they could use at home or through distance learning.
Teacher’s Pet helped us to do just that, providing us with the reach and the distribution platform for a wide variety of printable learning resources. Now that all the dragons, dinosaurs, and gorillas of the Teach Rex family (not to mention ourselves) are back in front of live classes again, we still make great use of these resources. They now form part of the classroom packs that we send to schools before each visit to get the children excited about our workshops.
Teachers Pet do not only provide us with incredible, purposeful resources. The partnership we have formed with this team has also allowed us to offer a whole new dimension to the journey teachers take when they book us.
Their talented team have created a platform that teachers from our schools can login to. Here they will find important information for their visit – documents such as DBS, Identification of the members coming to their school and risk assessments. They will also be able to find a range of resources linked to dinosaurs, dinosaurs and dragons. This will allow schools to have all of our information in one place and will improve the booking journey for all of our schools.
We would like to make a note and thank the whole team at Teachers Pet. Jay and Christine have not only offered their expertise as a business, but have made us welcome to their offices and offered valuable advise over the years. Their support during the pandemic which was so difficult for us ensured we were able to continue to offer schools services. Since beginning Teach Rex, we have been able to meet some wonderful people, and Jay and Christine are just that. Thank you. Joe and Sam.
Who Are Teacher’s Pet?
Teacher’s Pet was established in 2010 with the aim of providing unique and engaging classroom content on one easily accessible site. They make life easier for teachers by creating learning resources that match EYFS guidelines and the National Curriculum, helping teachers to unlock the creativity in their classrooms. From printouts and planners to online games, they produce a tonne of unique content that covers a whole host of subjects.
Our Work With Teacher’s Pet
When we worked as teachers ourselves, we made regular use of the wide variety of resources available on the Teacher’s Pet website. When it came time to create our own material, it just made sense to us to partner with the company. We already knew their work was of the highest quality and that they shared our commitment to making learning accessible and entertaining for all children.
We wanted to produce a range of materials for teachers and students alike that would enhance our Workshop experience. From simple colouring-in pages and flip books to lesson planners and vocabulary cards, we have put together a wide selection of useful items. We even created bunting and banners that could be printed off at school and hung from display boards featuring the children’s photos and drawings from our workshops.
Resources for Every Age Group
In the same way that we provide workshops for children at every level of primary school, the resources from Teacher’s Pet are also targeted for each Key Stage group. We have created Teach Rex printable resources for Early Years Foundation Stage classes and KS1 students, with KS2 resources coming soon to both the Teacher’s Pet site and our learning packs.
