Our Year in Review

As we head towards the end of another school year, it’s always good to reflect on what’s happened over the last twelve months. Here at Teach Rex, the last year has been amazing, thanks in large part to the incredible teaching staff and students that we meet at each of our workshops.

  1. Twice the Teach Rex

A major development this year has been the addition of a second workshop team to the Teach Rex family. This has allowed us to extend our reach to more schools than ever before, running multiple workshops at a time, reducing the risk of multiple bookings, and giving more schools and more students the chance to interact with our dinosaurs, dragons, and gorillas.

  2. More workshops than ever

This year has seen us produce and deliver well over 1000 workshops at over 200 schools across the UK, which is something we are very proud of. Our goal has always been to make our workshops accessible to as many children as possible to instil in them a love of learning that will last forever.

  3. A Big Experience for Little Learners

We have put a lot of effort and resources into developing and adapting our workshops specifically for EYFS students. As the youngest children in the schools we visit, it’s easy for them to get overwhelmed by the exciting sensory experience delivered by our workshops, so we have tailored them to be more accessible for younger learners without losing their impact.

  4. Travelling the World

Regular visitors to our site will know that we have delivered several workshops abroad this year, notably at schools across Dubai. This has been a gratifying experience for us, as we get to spread the Teach Rex message to children and young people further afield than we ever thought possible when we started this thing. This is an area we hope to expand on in the coming school year, with places already booked for our first trip to Singapore.

A Massive Thanks

We said at the top of this article that our success in 2022–23 was due in large part to the students and teachers we encountered at each school we visited, and we mean it. Without the support of the dedicated teaching staff at each school, the Teach Rex experience wouldn’t be as exciting as it is for the children. You help build up the anticipation for the big day and then reinforce the lessons learned once we’ve been and gone. Our job would be immeasurably more difficult without your kind assistance and hard work, and we thank you for that from the bottom of our hearts.
